Our third game is finished. Tiny Night Market reached 1.0 this week, and we can finally show it to you.
It’s a small idea: a tiny night market lives right above your taskbar. While you work, the stalls cook, sell and grow on their own. When you have a minute, help out at the stalls, toss a few rings, fill regulars’ orders and wait for rare visitors, and watch one candied-hawthorn cart grow into a glowing street.
A game that stays out of your way
Tiny Night Market sits along the bottom of your screen with a transparent background. Clicks pass straight through the empty space, so it never blocks what you’re doing. When you watch a video or play a game in fullscreen, it goes into hiding, and it comes back when you’re done. You can change the size of the street and the interface, pick a monitor, and there’s a boss key.
Everything runs itself from the very first minute. There’s no restocking, no collecting and no babysitting, and it keeps earning while you’re away.
What’s in it
- 12 night-market stalls that open one by one: skewers, bubble tea, ring toss, egg waffles, takoyaki, stinky tofu, goldfish scooping, a fortune teller and more.
- Two minigames for when you feel like playing. In Help out, you click the moment the heat ring turns green, eight per round. In Ring toss, you drop rings to win 36 prizes over three seasons.
- 12 regulars with 60 orders. A student cramming for exams, an office worker on overtime, a grandma on her evening walk. Their orders never expire, and each one unlocks a bit of their story.
- 20 rare visitors, from a wandering swordsman to the God of Wealth and the Moon Rabbit. Follow the clues, set up your street, and they’ll find their way to you.
- 36 house specials, lanterns, temple fairs and the lion dance, plus fireworks for your 10,000th and 100,000th customer.
- 8 music tracks, a few of which unlock as you play.
