The studio
Who is Fervo?
Fervo is an independent game studio. We make small games built around one strong idea each. The name is Latin for “I boil” — read the story on our About page.
How can I follow what you’re making?
Follow @Fervo_Q7Q on X and our YouTube channel, or subscribe to our RSS feed. The Notes section has longer devlogs.
Do you have a newsletter?
Yes. Join the newsletter for launch-day news and the occasional free Steam key giveaway. It’s a few emails a year at most, and you can unsubscribe in one click.
How do I contact you?
Email hello@fervogame.com. Press can also start with the press kit.
Release & platforms
When do Ringfort and One Mote come out?
Neither has a release date yet. Both are coming to Steam, and Ringfort launches first. We’ll announce store pages and dates on X and YouTube, and here.
How much will they cost?
Prices haven’t been announced. They’ll appear on each game’s Steam page.
Which platforms?
PC (Windows) via Steam. No other platforms have been announced.
Can I wishlist them yet?
Not yet — the Steam pages aren’t public yet. Follow us and we’ll post the links the day they go live. Wishlisting is free and makes a real difference to small studios.
Which languages are supported?
Ringfort: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and German. One Mote: the same, plus Japanese.
The games
What kind of game is Ringfort?
An asynchronous auto-battler. Six forts sit on a ring and fight all at once, so both neighbours hit you while you hit them back. You buy items and place them on your walls; the battle plays itself. The last fort standing moves up to a bigger ring. More about Ringfort.
What kind of game is One Mote?
An incremental (idle) game. A single mote of light grows into a glowing web, collapses into a star and wakes whole galaxies, while the network plays its own music. Six-plus hours to the true ending, then endless Deep Sky. More about One Mote.
Is Ringfort multiplayer?
It’s asynchronous. For now, the forts you face are simulated player snapshots with made-up names, drawn from tens of thousands each run. Once online play opens, they’ll be replaced by lineups left by real players. You never need anyone online at the same time as you.
AI & how the games are made
Do your games use generative AI?
We tell you plainly, game by game:
- Ringfort — yes, for some pre-made content. Item illustrations, fort and map art, UI art and achievement icons were generated with AI image tools; background music and some sound effects with an AI music tool (Stable Audio); text and translations were written with AI assistance. The developer selected, edited and assembled all of it. Nothing is generated by AI while you play. Other sound effects come from Kenney’s public-domain (CC0) packs.
- One Mote — no AI-generated art or audio. Every visual and every note is produced by the game’s own code in real time.
Both games will carry the disclosures Steam requires on their store pages.
Creators & press
Can I stream or make videos of your games?
Yes, including on monetized channels. Please credit the game and link to its page. The press kit has logos, key art and screenshots you can use.
Do you send review keys?
Key requests will open closer to launch. Email hello@fervogame.com with your outlet or channel and we’ll get back to you when they do.
