Grow a glowing web from a single mote of light. Every crystal you reach feeds the core, and the light plays a song. Collapse your web into a star, fill constellations, wake whole galaxies, then fold them back into one mote. An incremental game you can watch grow.

Trailer

How it plays

  1. 01

    It begins with one mote.

Click the crystals around it and their light flows home. Build Collectors, stretch Relays toward the outer rings, bend the light through Prisms, and watch your network grow ring after ring until it fills the dark.

  2. 02

    Your network is the soundtrack.

There is no pre-recorded music. The light that reaches the core is turned into notes, played live: the busier your network, the fuller the song. Every star field picks its own key and chords, and Resonators make whole rings chime on the beat.

  3. 03

    Collapse it into a star.

When you’re ready, fold the whole network into a single star. Stars fill constellations on your star map, and every completed constellation unlocks something new: buildings, crystal rings, field traits and permanent perks.

  4. 04

    Three handcrafted galaxies.

The First Light, The Spiral and The Binary each bring new terrain and new tricks: comets to catch, Firefly Hives, Gravity Wells, Wormholes, Resonators, binary crystals, a companion core, supernovae and Beacons.

  5. 05

    Then Deep Sky.

An endless descent through generated star fields where anomalies stack up: black holes, nebulae, thin space, drifting crystals, solar wind. Later constellations need stars from deep down, so the main path and the endless one feed each other.

  6. 06

    Made entirely in code.

Every visual and every note is generated by the game itself, in real time. No AI-generated art or audio. Idle when you want it: Self-Growth builds the network for you and you keep earning while you’re away. Or take over and plan every link yourself.

Made in code

One Mote contains no AI-generated art or audio. Everything you see and hear is produced procedurally by the game’s own code while you play — procedural generation, not generative AI. The music is synthesized live from the light reaching your core.

Questions

When does One Mote come out, and how much will it cost?

Neither is announced yet. It’s coming to Steam; follow us on X or YouTube to get the store link the day it goes live.

How long is it?

Six or more hours to the true ending across three handcrafted galaxies, and then Deep Sky, which is endless.

Is it an idle game? Do I have to keep clicking?

Both styles work. Self-Growth builds the network for you and you keep earning while you’re away (offline progress). Or take over and plan every link yourself.

Is the music really generated live?

Yes. There is no pre-recorded soundtrack: light reaching the core becomes notes, every star field picks its own key and chords, and Resonators chime on the beat.

Was any of it made with AI?

No AI-generated art or audio. The visuals and music are generated by the game’s own code in real time.

What do I control it with?

It’s mouse-driven.
