Grave Forge: Undead + Dwarves
You picked the path from our Short: Undead, then Dwarves, then a 4 + 4 split. Here's exactly what that build does in Ringfort, with the numbers from the game.
The bond, in the game's own words
Grave Forge — Dwarves deal +4% per poison stack on the target (up to ×3); poisoned foes deal 20% less with their direct hits on you
Duo bonds turn on when you have 4 items of each of two races on your walls. Ringfort gives you 8 wall slots, so a duo fills every slot. There are six duos, and Undead + Dwarf is the only one that makes Grave Forge.
In plain terms: the undead half piles poison onto the enemy fort, and the dwarf half hits harder the more poison is stacked there. At the same time, any poisoned enemy fort deals 20% less with its direct hits on you (burn, poison ticks and thorns aren't reduced).
How hard do the hammers hit?
The bonus is +4% per poison stack, capped at ×3 (reached at 50 stacks). Here's a 1★ Warhammer (46 damage) against different amounts of poison, before any Forge growth:
| Poison stacks on target | Dwarf damage multiplier | 1★ Warhammer hit |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | ×1.0 | 46 |
| 10 | ×1.4 | 64 |
| 25 | ×2.0 | 92 |
| 50 | ×3.0 (cap) | 138 |
What each race brings on its own
Undead · Blight
Hits that reach the walls also apply Poison (2 + stars); none if a shield blocks it all.
With 4 undead you also meet the 3-item tier, Corpse Blast: a neighbour reaching 15 poison detonates once (walls lost = stacks × 1.2 + 10% of its max walls, once per neighbour per fight).
Dwarf · Forge
+1 permanently for every 8 cattle you spend; Freeze on them lasts half as long.
With 4 dwarves you also meet the 3-item tier, Temper: dwarf items start 2s charged; forging is faster (+1 per 6 cattle); a non-dwarf item grows half as much for each adjacent dwarf.
Because both races hit 4 items, the 6- and 8-item tiers of each race are out of reach in this build. That's the trade: two small race bonuses plus the duo, instead of one deep race.

Why it can work on a ring
In Ringfort, your fort fights both neighbours at once every round. Blight poisons the forts your undead hit, and Grave Forge cuts the direct-hit damage every poisoned foe deals to you. Your dwarves then cash in on that poison. While you shop you can see both neighbours' lineups, so you can check whether they carry shields that would stop Blight before it lands.
Ringfort is an async auto-battler in development, coming soon to Steam. Numbers are from the current build and may change before release.
