Desktop companion games, the small idle games that live along your taskbar or in a corner while you work, keep growing. November 2026 brings three new ones to Steam in ten days. Here they are, with dates as shown on each Steam page.
We’re Fervo, and the last game here is ours. We’ve kept it at the end.
Glims: November 10
Glims is a battle pet that lives on your desktop. Your glims walk your taskbar, live in a 3D house you decorate and earn gold on their own. When you call them, they hold off an invasion on your screen. Pick it if you want a companion with some action.
Monty’s Idle Mine: November 11
Monty’s Idle Mine is a relaxing idle game about a little miner living at the bottom of your screen. Watch Monty mine, upgrade his skills and minerals, collect 142 little treasures and decorate his tiny world while you work. Its developer cites Rusty’s Retirement as an inspiration, so fans of that one should look here first.
Widget Idle: November 19
Widget Idle sits quietly in a corner of your desktop and grows from what you’re already doing: every click, keypress and mouse movement helps it along. It’s the most hands-off of the three.
Tiny Night Market (ours): January 14, 2027
Tiny Night Market is a cozy night market that runs along the top of your taskbar. Stalls open one by one, customers wander in for snacks, and the coins roll in while you work, watch a show or sit in meetings. When you have a minute, you can help out at a busy stall or play ring toss.
The free demo is on Steam now (the first five stalls), and the full game releases on January 14, 2027. Wishlist Tiny Night Market on Steam to hear when it’s out.
